What is a HOPE Box?
HOPE Boxes are specially curated kits created by the Strong Brave Hopeful Foundation to provide comfort, understanding, and emotional support to children experiencing EEG testing and epilepsy treatment.
Inspired by our own journey with Griffin and his sister Mia, these boxes use therapeutic play and familiar tools to help reduce fear, promote understanding, and let kids—and their siblings—know they are not alone.

HOPE BOXES
What’s Inside the HOPE Boxes?
Standard HOPE Box
Designed to help children better understand and emotionally process EEG testing and epilepsy care.
It Includes:
- Large golden retriever stuffed animal
- Toy EEG set
- Toy backpack for “Hope” (the stuffed dog) to wear the EEG
- Surgilast, gauze, and paper tape for medical role play and EEG application
- Large 50” x 60” blanket for comfort
Infant + Sibling HOPE Box
This version of the HOPE Box is specifically tailored for an infant diagnosed with epilepsy and a sibling in need of age-appropriate education and support.
It includes:
- Golden retriever lovey
- Baby crib blanket
- Large golden retriever stuffed animal
- Toy EEG set
- Toy backpack for “Hope” to wear the EEG
- Surgilast, gauze, and paper tape for medical role play
Teen HOPE Box
The Teen HOPE Box is designed with older patients in mind, providing comfort and encouragement during their EEG experience.
It includes:
- Large golden retriever stuffed animal
- Large 50” x 60” blanket for comfort
- Strong Brave Hopeful Apparel Co. hoodie or tumbler

The HOPE Boxes listed above are examples of accommodations that can be made to best meet the needs of each child and family. When accommodations are requested—whether due to age, developmental stage, or a specific neurological diagnosis—please note that these boxes may take a little longer to prepare and ship.
